Aujourd’hui il existe de nombreux « softphones » (logiciel de téléphonie) qui permettent d’appeler des lignes fixes à partir de sa connexion internet. Le plus connu est sûrement Skype avec son programme SkypeOut mais même si celui est d’un coût local il n’en reste pas moins payant et peu se révéler coûteux pour les utilisateurs intensifs. En France, nous disposons pour la plupart des « box » (LiveBox, FreeBox, NeufBox, AliceBox, ClubBox, Tele2Box, Cbox, AOLBox, WengoBox, Redbox…) qui incluent la téléphonie gratuite sur les lignes fixes locales et nationales, la télé et bien sur l’internet. Mais ce n’est pas encore le cas pour tout le monde est c’est encore loin d’exister à l’étranger (Belgique, Canada…). Il existe aujourd’hui des softphones qui permettent de téléphoner gratuitement sur des téléphones fixes partout dans le monde.

 Je pense que cela ne vas pas durer indéfiniment et que ces offres sont des offres d’appels pour se créer une base utilisateur significative à l’exemple du logiciel netappel. Ce qui est intéressant c’est que quand on creuse un peu on se rencontre qu’il existe d’autres déclinaisons de netappel comme voipbuster, voipstunt,… Tous ces services sont en fait des produits de la société Betamax

Quand on regarde encore de plus prêt, on se rend compte que les destinations gratuites ne sont pas les mêmes suivant les déclinaisons du produit. Ainsi à l’aide ces petits softs il est possible d’appeler gratuitement partout dans le monde. Il devient possible à l’aide de la combinaison de plusieurs logiciels de couvrir l’ensemble des principales destinations téléphonique mondiale. En comparant les prix des communications vers les fixes et les mobiles depuis Skype, Wengo ou les services Betamax sur 56 destinations communes, au moins un des services BetaMax est moins cher que Wengo et Skype. Score : Skype 0 - Wengo 0 - BetaMax 56 Betamax/Skype = 70% de réduction moyenne. Betamax/Wengo = 69.4% de réduction moyenne. Betamax/Skype = 72.3% de réduction moyenne pour l’ensemble des communications vers des lignes fixes. Betamax/Wengo = 87.1% de réduction moyenne pour l’ensemble des communications vers des lignes fixes. Betamax/Skype = 66.9% de réduction moyenne pour l’ensemble des communications vers des lignes mobiles. Les 56 destinations testées sont : Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuana, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, Vietnam. Pourquoi Betamax fait cela ? Dans chacun des pays européens, les différentes ethnies ne sont pas réparties de la même manière. Il me semble qu’en déclinant leur offre en fonction des pays, Betamax réussit à améliorer ces bénéfices. Exemple : l’ethnie indienne est très très présente au Royaume-Uni. Betamax offre les coûts de communications les plus bas vers l’Inde. Les tarifs des autres destinations sont un peu plus chères. Ainsi Betamax voit sont nombre de clients augmenté. Ces clients payeront leurs communications vers l’Inde très peu chères mais leurs autres communications un peu plus chères

All VoIP service providers should invest in developing a proprietary patented technology that incorporates compression of data packets so that their VoIP can be used on dial up connections, as well as cable, satellite, and wireless.
All VoIP service providers should develop and create their own proprietary high end encryption codec with patented technology, simply because they do not want their customers to be victims of viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or have their identity stolen as a result of using their VoIP service.
Simply put, all VoIP service providers should place the protection, security, and needs of their customers FIRST. Of course, they are in business to earn profits, but it should not be at the expense of exposing their customers to unscrupulous entities.
